Isn't It Sad?

How do babies instinctively know how to make a face like this so that you feel sorry for them and give in to what they want? She already has mommy and daddy wrapped around her finger. All she has to do is make the face and then we can't resist.

The Two Amigas

Our friends Daron and Janet came over tonight to hang out and brought their three daughters. Here is a picture of Eliana and Haven hanging out. Haven is five weeks older than Eliana and has a lot more coordination. Notice the hand holding up Eliana.

Northern Thai

A few random pictures of our trip today to the village.

Northern Thai Village

We went to two Northern Thai villages to help out with a children's program there today. This program was started for children of parents with AIDS. Many of the children's parents have AIDS and the children come to learn english, hear stories and play games. The program also helps the parents out financially once a month. At the first village (2nd picture) there were about 14 kids who come regularly. At the second village (top pict) there were around 30 kids who come each week. The program was started a few years ago by co-workers of ours.

Want some fruit?

Eliana wasn't very impressed by this jackfruit but John was. You wouldn't want one of these falling on your head. You can't tell from the top picture but they are all bigger than the one next to Eliana. The outside of jackfruit is hard and spikey, but the inside is yellow and rubbery. It's not super sweet but it tastes really good. There is not really a comparable taste to fruit in the US. Just one of the many different kinds of fruit in Thailand compared to the US. It was eye opening to come to Thailand and see all the different kinds of fruit that there are. I will still take a good peach any day though.

Updated Look

Hey guys,

We hope that you like the updated look of the blog. It is still a work in progress so it may change a few times in the next couple of weeks, but all the past posts will still be here.

Eliana's Photo Shoot

This is my almost smiley face.
This is my family. This is my mysterious face. Especially when boys are around I shoot them this look.
This is my daddy's face. I tried to do it good, but haven't quite mastered the dynamics of it.
This is another one of my many dazed and confused looks I get throughout the day when I don't get enough sleep
