Motorbike Practice

We went down to Bangkok for two days last week to renew our visas. While we were there we went to visit the Kellers, our friends that we have known since Lopburi. They have two sons, and these pictures are of Eliana hanging on to the back of Noah's tricycle. Noah is the Kellers oldest son and is almost two. Eliana was loving riding with Noah and caught on quick that you have to hold on tight. She would grab Noah's shirt so she wouldn't fall off. Thanks for dinner Stefan and Brigitte and sorry our visit was so short!

Broken Lens

I am normally so carefull with all my camera stuff, but not last week... After getting back from the flower festival with Oum's parents, I opened the back door of our truck, and out flew the camera. I stuck the camera on the back seat and didn't bring my carrying case to save weight. I guess the camera had shifted during the ride, and when I opened the door, the camera did a nose dive lens first onto the concrete. I am going to try and get it repaired when we get back to the States next week, but I am not super hopeful. This was my only travel lens, so I am stuck with my 50mm until a solution presents itself. The good news is that there wasn't a single scratch on the camera and it is working fine. Life goes on.

Flower Exhibition with Oum's Parents

For the past couple of months Chiang Mai has been hosting a huge flower exhibition with countries from all over the world exhibiting flowers from their country. Yesterday was the first chance that we had to go. Oum's parent's came up from Lopburi to stay with us for a few days and to go see the flower exhibition. It is always so good to be able to spend time with Oum's parents. Here are some pictures from Sunday.

Kid's Day with Phi Nim

This Saturday was Kid's Day in Thailand and we went out in the morning with Phi Nim and her two sons to celebrate. There were things going on all around town throughout the day. We went to a bank in the morning that was giving out gifts, had free food and had some traditional dancing. It was a lot of fun and Eliana really enjoyed her first Kid's Day celebration.
